The problems of adding a hard drive to Start11 in the Windows 10-style start menu
You can add HDDs to Start11 (Windows 10-style), but it's a bit messy.
Right-click an HDD in File Explorer and there is no option to add it to Start11. (I'm using the full context menu.)
You can pin it to the regular Start and then it will Show up in Start11 and it will be fully functional.
But, it will also be added to the app list in Start11.
If you remove the HDD from vanilla Start then it disappears from the Start11 grid, but it remains in the app list, from which it cannot be removed.
From the app list you can re-pin it to Start11's grid.
You cannot add a hard drive by using the pin folder function.
The only real problems are that garbage is left in the app list (wouldn't it be nice to be able to sort it and add folders?) and that hard drives must be added in an indirect fashion.
I would suggest It would be better if:
You could right-click an HDD in file explorer and pin it to Start11 or pin it as a folder by right-clicking the icon grid.
You could remove items from the app list, by right-clicking them (and selecting to remove).
Icons could be on the grid without being in the app list.
Pinned folders are also left as unremovable trash in the app list if you unpin them.
