start 11 reverting

Won't stay with my choice

I have used Start 11 and no problem until last week.  Now, despite my choice of Windows 10, every day when i log on, my start  has reverted to   Windows 11.  Why?

Sorry it took awhile to respond. I did not receive a notification that I had gotten a response.

Windows 11 Home, version 21H2.  Stardock Version 1.46

Please try Uninstall Start11, reboot immediately (important), download from your product account and install the latest Start11 V1.47 Beta, reboot again. Retest and report back.

It's not listed in my orders, so I don't know what happened. Considering I've had it? 

Actually, I checked.  It's not separate. It's included in my Object Desktop.  I am downloading it from there.

That just downloads the old one.  I have to pay to download the new one????  My Object Desktop only downloads the old 1.46

You did check it on your account page yes? https://store.stardock.com/myaccount/products.

It should appear under your Object Desktop download Refer screenshot below.

I followed directions on a different page.  I had to set my object desktop to allow beta downloads, then I installed it.  We will see what happens.

update 9/13. It had been ok for awhile, but now this past week or so, doing the same thing....reverting every couple of days when I go to shut down my pc, back to regular start.  Why?? Based upon my reading, this has happened to others and seems to be a glitch that should be fixed.

May I know what is your full Windows 11 version? Something like this ->

Also need to know,

  1. You on touch capable/tablet system?
  2. Do you have taskbar autohide activated?

I just updated to the latest.  Including the new start 11.  and no, I just went to shut down and it is NOT fixed.  It reverted to the old windows start.  Why?  What do I need to  do?  No other new software was installed.

Start 11 2.0 Beta 1.01  and there is another on my object deskstop as Start 11 v2?  But that just downloaded today when I updated everything in my OD.

Do you by any chance have explorer patcher installed? I ask because this is a common issue when using explorer patcher and a Windows update breaks it which in turn causes start 11 to no longer work.

Please check and make sure Start11 service is running in taskmanager.
