Most of the new deskscapes don't have decoders to run them. Trying to navigate Microsoft for updates is pretty much impossible. Could you please simply add the decoders needed to run your deskscapes to the software and not just 'leave it up to us users to figure out'? So frustrating.
Could you specify which ones are causing this?
Anything remotely recent should be using codecs supported by the OS out of the box.
Many users who have encountered issues with video playback or running Deskscape Dreams, have solved their problems by installing the K-Lite Codec Pack. It's widely used and considered a safe download by the vast majority of users. I have used it myself for more than a decade. You can find it here: https://codecguide.com/download_k-lite_codec_pack_mega.htm
You might also try clicking on DS settings then settings again and follow the screenshot
you have 3 options you can change that will help , try all 3 and see if one of the other options works
better for you .
Some of the latest from Cybersober come to mind
Thank you!
