Start11 1.47 Beta Feedback Thread

With the Start11 1.47 beta release today, we are creating this thread so that users can report any observed issues.  

Obtaining the beta:

Object Desktop members can get the beta from within Object Desktop Manager with 'show beta downloads' enabled:

Individual purchases (as well as Object Desktop Members) can also be obtained from your account page:

Reporting an issue:

Please include the following for anything found:

  • Exact Windows version \ build (winver.exe)

  • Detailed steps to recreate the issue seen

  • Screenshots and videos are very helpful.  Videos can be uploaded to a cloud drive service (GoogleDrive, DropBox, OneDrive, YouTube), with a shared link included in your post.  Images can be copied and pasted directly into a post.

  • If there are specific apps that the app does not work (well) with, please note what apps and their exact versions.  If any app is not common, a link to a trial version would be appreciated.

Thank you for your interest and any time you put into making Start11 a better product.

My laptop was just updated and apps are no longer maximizing correctly.  They all maximize as if the task bar were at the bottom and go underneath the taskbar that is at the top making all apps unusable.  ARGH

Version 21H2 22000.2176

KB5028182 is the update that broke it

Both 1.46 and the 1.47.1 Beta no longer work for maximizing.  This is the single worst thing to go wrong!!!!!

I can't work like this!

I uninstalled that update and it's still messed up.

EDIT: please disregard.  The problem posted below was my error.  I'll leave this here as a reference for others who might have the same issue.

I had installed StartAllBack previously to installing Start11.  Had forgotten that it was still active.  I removed StartAllBack and everything appears to work fine now.  Thanks for your time

I installed this beta and still getting the same fast toggling/flashing issue that I mentioned in my previous post, which I captured on video at the link below.

Installed, then clicked on start button, pause, then this happens.  Anyone else experiencing this?

Brand new Win11 build, 22621.1992

So (this is probably more for the skinstudio fourm, but it affects start11), is there anyway to change the scrollbar in search? If so I can't find it. I have the scrollbar skinned, on the image clear on the right you can see the skinned one. While the middle one (circled horribly in red) its the windows 11 one. (Also is there a way to have the placelist show in search mode like vista? I figured not so I just made a fake one which im satisfied with).

Sorry to hear you are having issues. Try this turn "Use Windows 10 style all program list rather than Windows 7 style" Off.

The line is now showing now, BUT: it is way to dark.

I'm on 22621.1992 with S11 Beta 1.47.2 with apps using light mode, but system using dark mode.
