Start11 + Desktop item position

Hi guys,

I noticed that when using Start11 (on win11) , if I save a file to desktop out of any browser or another application, the file gets stored on the 2nd grid position on desktop, no matter if there is already another file. 

Other desktop icons/files just gets pushed down, which is kind of annoying.

I had this problem a few years ago when using Fences, that was the reason why I stopped using Fences.

Is it a problem or am I doing something wrong?

Hello,
Sorry to hear you are having issues. From what I know, Start11 does not control your desktop area. How do you confirm your conclusion?

I can confirm that Start11 will be having no impact on the position of desktop icons.  The position of those is entirely controlled by Microsoft Windows.

Ok, thanks for your information, then this most likely is a coincidence.

I uninstalled Start11 and after that this "issue" did not appear anymore in that timeframe, therefore and due to my experience with an older Fences version I blamed Start11 for this behavior.

Seems that windows 11 is not where it wants/needs to be yet.
