Double click only makes disappear, not appear!

I have enabled the quick hide setting as by default.
However, after double clicking and icon's hiding, the double click function does not show them again, either with the right or left mouse button and only after rebooting I was able to see Fences again!
Is there a reason for that and can this issue be solved?
