Restore Snapshot

All Icons gone

Opened my laptop and my icons were gone.
Opened Fenses, when to pictures that were saved, tried to restore them,
and nothing happened.  Had several snapshots and tried them also with the same results
Question:  How do I restore "Layout snapshots"?
It is a real pain to go through all of the programs and find each icon.
If the snapshots do not work, is there a way in Windows 10 to get back the icons to the desktop,
and if there is how do I do it??

Hello,
Sorry to hear you are having issues. First, if you look at your Desktop folder in your explorer does all the shortcuts, folders etc still listed there?

Thanks

I was trying to figure out what you meant by your statement and went to open my laptop.

To my surprise, all the icons appeared mixed up. Then I touched the Fense icon and all my icons

appeared as before.

Not sure what happened, but maybe after doing the restore of icons with the picture, you also have to reboot.

Did I miss getting the job done by not rebooting after doing the restore?

Thank you for your comment which made me boot the laptop and the problem was solved.

Not sure what happened to your system. But, it is best practice to reboot the system if something goes wrong with the system.

Well, I thought the system was back working.  While working on the Laptop, the image of Fenses was gone and I was back with

what I started with when it first disappeared and I was trying to start over.

What happened?  It was gone, came back after a reboot, and it was gone again.

What to do to make it stay?

Try this, disable Fences Desktop page and see if that help.
