ObjectDock

I know ObjectDock isn't fully supported anymore, but I have a question.

I just loaded it back onto my Win11 computer, and its running smoothly. The only problem is that I cant get the weather app to work on the dock.

My City code is CAXX0416, but it says that its not working and to check my internet connection, but obviously thats not the problem.

Does anyone have any tips or ideas?

Hello,
Sorry to hear you are having issues. The weather issue on ObjectDock is a known for a long time. I believe the Weather feature was discontinued. Something about Accuweather is not offering this service any longer.

Once upon a time, back in the beginnings of all sorts of shell modding applications various weather 'apps' were available freely for developers to adopt and include in their wares.

Then slowly but surely they all progressed to a commercial model and started charging for the weather apps to be used.

It simply became commercially unviable to provide a licensed app model into otherwise inexpensive products such as ObjectDock.

I believe at the time to add a commercial Weather app you would also be adding a few zeros to the cost of the Dock...;)

Thanks guys for all your help. Maybe one day, StarDock will come out with a newer version of ObjectDock.

Yet Rainmeter and xwidget still provide weather apps that work accurately, even in their trial versions.
