Icons disappear

from Stardock Forums

Several times over the past month most of my icons inside fences have disappeared. I have about 15 fences and each one has between 2 and 10 icons. The fences are still there, but about 80% of the icons have disappeared. All of the icons are links. The icons that didn't disappear are links as well.

I tried restoring a daily snapshot from a few days ago, but that didn't change anything.

This is getting VERY annoying, as I have to restore all of the icons. Why is this happening and how can I prevent this?

Hello,
Sorry to hear you are having issues. This same issue have been reported before and I believe it is because OneDrive Desktop Sync moving the desktop icons into OneDrive folder. What you can do is disable OneDrive Desktop Sync and move back those icons into desktop folder.

Thanks, Basj. I think you may be right. I disabled OneDrive as I don't use it anyway so hopefully that won't happen again.

Great, yes, hopefully OneDrive/Windows don't decide to turn that function by itself when we do our Windows update. I believe this things happen lot of time.
