Won't open create fence dialog box

Since I upgraded to Windows 11, version 22H2 I can't create fences on my desktop.  I can draw the fence and the grey square appears but it doesn't stay and the dialogue box where you can click Create Fence here doesn't appear or open.  My old fences function just fine, I just can't make any new ones.  Any ideas what I am doing wrong?

Hello,
Sorry to hear you are having issues. Have you check if Fences is locked. Check it by left click on your desktop->Show more option->View->Lock Fences. Unlock if locked and try again.
