Screen Continually Refreshing

Hi, I've been using Fences since version 2....great product. However recently I've been having loads of issues with Fences 4 continually refreshing my screen, blanking icons and making my system unresponsive. I have to Ctrl/Alt/Del and reboot in Safe Mode just to get to my system. I've not added any new application for a long time so it's not a sudden clash. I've uninstalled/reinstalled Fences a number of times...it works for a day or so that goes back to refreshing. I'm going to try and reinstall version 3 and see if I get the same issues.
My system is running Windows 10 (Version 22H2 (OS Build 19045.2486) and all my drivers are current.

Any ideas? I really don't want to stop using Fences but I can't work with it as it stands.

Thanks

Hello,
Sorry to hear you are having issues. Try and see if this step help with your issue and identify if there is a shortcut issue. https://forums.stardock.com/514583/get;3875625

Hi Basj....thanks for your suggestion but no luck. Installation is not an issue. Running Windows with Fences uninstalled is not and issue....but running it with Fences installed is. This is a recent problem though, as I said in my original post, but my system has not changed, application wise, in months.

Hello again,

Did you read the steps listed there? Reply#47. It does not talking about re-installing it just talking about if Fences keep crashing. Your symptom where you mentioned

Fences 4 continually refreshing my screen, blanking icons and making my system unresponsive
End of quote

That showing to me that Fences 4 is crashing and restarting. And one the reasons we found out from various user is that there are cases when there is one or more shortcut on your desktop that link to network drive or cloud shares. Fences will crash if that link is broken or the network not available. Using that steps mentioned on that reply will identify which shortcut is having the issue.

Thank you,
