Start11 + "Windows 10"-style menu — Can't rename apps inside of a group

Here's something that I have been able to consistently reproduce.

  • Start11 (v1.36) + "Windows 10"-style Start menu
  • Hold shift and drag one tile onto another to create a tile "group" or "folder"
  • Open the folder, right-click and "Rename" one of the tiles
  • The tile name appears to stick
  • ...Close and re-open the folder and the name will have reverted to what it was before.

Expected results:

  • The renamed tile should stick even after the tile folder is closed and opened again.

Hello,
Sorry to hear you are having issues. May I know which Windows you're on? Win 10 or 11 and its full version number please. Use Winver.exe.

BTW, have you tried restarting Explorer.exe after the name change? This is on Windows 11 22H2 Build 22621.1105

Thanks

As you suggested, restarting Explorer.exe does get the correct names to show.  However, that's a pretty yucky solution.  I avoid restarting Explorer on purpose because it causes some system tray icons to go missing.
