4 out of 5 liscences used

I have purchased object desktop which comes with a host of programs I can use but my license page tells me I'm already using 4 out of 5 of those programs.  I was under the assumption when you buy object desktop that you get to use all of the programs.

I think you might be confusing between the number of programs included in Object Desktop

and the number of licences purchased (one vs. five). The latter refers to the number of installations of the suite or a program in the suite performed, on one machine or more (without removing/deactivating a licence from/on a machine where it's not in use).

You can find answers here:

A Community Support Assistant will probably answer here, but it's the holidays and as the banner notes,

Stardock will be closed for the holidays starting on Thursday, December 22rd at 5PM Eastern and we will be returning on Tuesday, January 3rd. We will be monitoring support tickets and forums during this time but expect delays in responses during this time.

Okay so say I want to have window blinds, fences and cursors on my tablet and my desktop .. that would need 6 licenses.  How do you purchase another license.

No...it would require one more licence were you to purchase Object Desktop.

Were you to purchase another licence for each individual program, then add up the cost of each additional individual licence.

Remember: The best deal is with Object desktop in terms of the number of programs you're subscribing to.

If, however, you want only Windowblinds, Fences and Cursorfx, I'd ask you if you're on Windows 11, because Windowblinds 11 requires Start 11 to skin the Start Menu correctly...so you'd have to buy Start 11 for whatever number of W11 machines you are going to customize.

I'm not a Support/Sales person so I might be mistaken. I'd suggest waiting for a Community Support Assistant to answer before making a decision.

Happy holidays and happy customizing to you!

I have already purchased object desktop.  That's where I got the 5 licenses from.  Badly represented I might add as the add says 5 licenses which should mean 5 licenses for object desktop.  Instead you can't use the whole functionality of object desktop as you only have licenses for 5 of the toys in object desktop.  In any case I've been able to use window blinds past the year mark as long as I download the software and install it from there.  So I'd like to buy a couple more licenses.  Big question is if I purchase object desktop again will it add to my count.

That's incorrect. Whether you buy 1 or 5 licenses, the software included is shown at this url: https://www.stardock.com/products/odnt/

If you bought 1 license you may install all or some on 1 machine (or more if you disable the license on the one machine, but one machine at a time). If you bought 5 licenses you may install the odnt software on 5 machines, or more, as noted in the prior sentence, as I understand it.

Again, I am not a sales/support person, but I'm sure that one will be along. It's the holiday, please be patient and your questions will be answered by a Community Support Assistant/Support person.

Yep I know that its holidays.  Unfortunately its the only time I get time off which is why I'm posting this now.   I originally brought object desktop.  I then paid to upgrade it so I could use start11 but now it only lets me use 5 licenses.  Albeit I could use the software before on both laptop and tablet. Actually I could use all of the software I just didn't have start 11.  Now I can only use 5 things since upgrading. So basically I paid to go backwards.

The 5 licenses should be per app so thats 5 Start11, 5 Fences etc.

I flagged this thread for internal review, response times are a bit slower right now but will get this looked into to see what's going on.

Object Desktop allows for 5 concurrent activations per app in the suite.  That said, a client's account page renders OD activations poorly and  its on the list of things to improve.  Using your example (our admin side looks a little different than yours):

What the top really should read with your current app activations:

1 of the 5 for CFX

2 of 5 for Fences 4

1 of 5 for WB10

1 of 5 for WB11

Sorry for the confusion.

Hello,

If you activate for example "Fences 4" on more 5 "system" you will get limit warning. But not if you activate for example 4x "Fences 4" + 3x "Start11" + 4x "Windowblinds11" etc.

Thank you,

nah I installed fences, window blinds and start 10 on my laptop and tablet. when installing start 10 it wouldn't accept my key.  Might now but for some reason it didnt then.  I just tried installing a couple more things and it seems to be okay on my laptop for now. Well see how it goes.
