Hello,
Sorry to hear you are having issues. Need to know, you on Windows 10 or 11? Also, need to know its full version number. Use Winver.exe to get that number. You on Start11 V1.36, yes?

Thanks.

Hi sir, thanks for the reply, I have Windows 11 version 22H2 - 22621.963 , all updates so far i made and use the start11 version 1.36.

I have it on many pc and only on one gave me this problem, I think it's related to user corrupted situation, i disintalled some tools like PowerTool or similars.

I reinstalled the 1.36 version , but nothing is changed, to get it working I have to disconnect the user and then reconnect, but when some programs is added ruuning to the taskbar and the graphic is changing, then the Search icon and text disappear and leave a white bubble ...

Can you post a screenshot of what you are seeing?

Yes sure, i made some tests and it seems to be caused by too much (may be) icons on the taskbar.

So when i will open more than 4/5 programs then will disappear the text and shown the magnifying glass graphic only, then when i will close all programs it will disapper all and stay only the white bubble ...

Here there are the screenshots :

P.S. I reduced the icon's number on Taskbar (10 at center) and the issue solved ... but this is a bug to correct, and i cannot spread this issue to the programmers to help them to correct the software ...

Hi friends, so i want notice you that I have discovered that when we have 21 icons + the Search, Desktops, Widgets, Teams (Start too), it will solve the issue byself, giving only the graphical rapresentation of the Search button without the text and then will work well, so this is a bug that I hope the programmers will solve into the new version of Start11.

With Regards

End of BDMaster's quote

That looks to be Windows itself.

Newer versions of Windows 11 show search text on the taskbar unless there is insufficient room in which case it will revert back to a small icon.  The issue with it then painting wrong is no doubt a bug in Windows when switching back.

Start11 is not responsible for painting that icon so I would expect the very same to happen without Start11 installed.

I used Windows 11 without the Start11 software and patched the Registry (TaskbarSI = 0) to get the small taskbar, but have had an issue with the Date/Time centered, so i have bought the Start11 ...

Without the Start11 software, all worked well, but didn't like me the Medium size and I wanted the Small size, so the only way to get it working well was to use the Start11, as I like it too much (there are others solutions too).

Like I wrote before, using the 21 icons, the search is only graphical, but all work well.

For me there is not a problem, but nice to know that you know the issue, also if it's an Windows issue.
