Start11 stops showing open windows when I hover over icon(s) on task bar - has this been reported before?

Hello,

I wanted to know if others have seen this before.  I have had this for a while, and just want to get it reported.  Running Start11 on Windows11 using Windows 10 menu preference, I notice that over time when I hover over a task bar icon, I no longer see open windows.  I have also noticed that the MRU list will change/vanish at times when I right click.  My #1 issue is for my open windows to show.

The only way to see what additional windows are open for a given application (example: e-mail is open, with calendar, contacts, etc). is using Win-Tab, then moving to the window I want.  Here is a snip of e-mail (when it works, 4 open windows, then later - nothing - basically the second snip is when it goes away after time).

Thoughts?

Thanks,
Dave

============

Version:  Start11 1.36, but it has been happening for a while

OS:  Windows 11 Pro Build 22621

Dual monitor configuration on Dell XPS-15, machine is less than 6 months old, 32gig RAM 1TB SSD

How to invoke issue:  The issue just occurs over time - if I disable Start11, the icons work, then re-enable and they are BACK (for a while)

To recreate: I just reenable Start11 and over time is is back...

Working:

Stops working, hovering over e-mail icon:

To fix - stop then Start Start11

Hello,
Sorry to hear you are having issues. May I know your full Windows 11 version numbers. Use Winver.exe to get it.

Thanks.

Hi,
i'm gonna reply here because i have the same issue and i couldn't find a more recent post.
The problem is the same as explained above. The hovering over Taskbar-Icons stops working after some time.
I also noticed its only happens for the primary screen, hovering over the same icons on secondary screens taskbars keeps working.

Windows Version: Win 11 Version 22H2 (Build 22621.1992)

Happens on Win 10-Style and Win 11-Style  (only tested these 2)

Thanks,
Rio

Please try this, uninstall Start11, reboot immediately after installation done (important). Download the latest V1.47 Beta from your account page: Reboot immediately after again. Retest it and report back.

I believe those are Windows function. Try this workaround: https://www.wisecleaner.com/think-tank/459-How-to-Disable-Taskbar-Thumbnail-Preview-on-Windows-11.html
