Window Blinds and Start11

Start Button

Does anyone know if there is a conflict between Window Blinds and Start11?

Start11 was installed 1st (a couple of months ago). I run it in Windows 10 mode with a custom Start Button. After adding Window Blinds (which looks nice) the Start Button is blank. It still works if I click the space where the Start Button should be.

What version of Start11 are you using and likewise WindowBlinds?

I check both for any updates so they are the latest versions. I also have Fences installed.

For best compatbility with WindowBlinds you need the 1.35 beta release of Start11 which an update check will not see.  This should be moving to release next week.

I took a stab at uninstalling Fences and a Start Button is now there (post-reboot).

When I install Fences after Window Blinds and Start11 windows explorer crashes again and again. Without Fences installed both Window Blinds and Start11 work as expected.

Scroll down for the solution for the Start Menu Button missing.

Now that I can see the Start Button again, it is proving very challenging to change. It still seems like the two programs (Start11 and Window Blinds) are trying to configure the taskbar and Start Button.

In Windowblinds there is a setting to "Always use the OS Start button rather than the style one". With that checked, your custom start button in Start 11 should work.

I'd love to have the ability to use the textured taskbar while using Windowsblinds 11, however, it appears that the Windowblinds skin takes over.

Plus, this looks like a bug perhaps:

I'm running Start11 (b1.35) and WindowsBlinds 11.00.
