My jump lists are totally ruined! (Need multiple opinions)

So, I activated my 30-day free trial (with intentions to buy the full software afterward), & I just put up the Vista (or Diamond Vista?) style.  I made only a few slight modifications -- mainly image changes -- & it looks great overall!  There's just one problem, as you can see in the attached picture.

Example of my jump list dilemma

Sooo, what can I do to fix this? Any assistance would be greatly appreciated! ^_^

Which WB version please.

And which Vista skin? a link to it on Wincustomize would be best.

WindowBlinds does not skin jumplists on newer versions of Windows.

Are you using something which claims to restore old style jumplists?

Looks like he is using OpenShell judging on the start icon.

Well, *she*, actually. :-)

But, nonetheless, what's all this talk about OpenShell & stuff? And I don't believe I saw anything claiming to restore new-style jumplists...

Anyway, surely there must be *something* that can be done? :-(

Can you answer the question that was asked Neil? Are you using OpenShell or similar type program?

Oh, I'm afraid I have no idea.  What is OpenShell, & how do I know whether I have it or not? o_O  If I could find that out, I'm sure that would help a lot!

I forgot to mention this earlier, but jump lists are clearly possible & an available option for the Vista skin!  Look here:

Those are there to support WB theme to be use on Windows 7 system.

Well, then...why don't we fix the skin so that it can be completely compatible with Windows 10? |-)

(I say "we", because I know nothing about how to do that sort of thing. :(  So, I'm definitely going to need to let outside people take care of updating the skin.)

Such a task could be done, right? Is it even remotely possible?

And if so, who would like to volunteer to help me out? :-)

Because, Windows 10 somehow remove jump list and intro a new thing to it. Which cannot be change by Windowblinds.

Oh, but I reenabled jump lists. :-) There's at least one way to do it, but if that's been done, then WB *should* be able to recognize that jump lists have been *enabled* on W10.  I don't know why it can't, but I think that might be the problem.  The solution, then, I would think, is to get WB to recognize jump lists when they're enabled! :-) Only, how would one go about it?

So you have enabled something which gives you similar to old style jumplists.

I am afraid we support the OS as it ships, we cannot and will not offer support for third party modifications to the OS.  I would personally suggest against using those modifications as they have consequences like this.

Looking at your screenshot it also looks like the left and right end of the taskbar are not painting correctly either.  This is probably caused again by the tool you are using.  You may want to ensure you have disabled all taskbar related tweaks in that tool.

If you want to have a Windows 7 style start menu I would recommend the use of Stardock Start11 as it will integrate correctly with WindowBlinds.  It also offers skinnable (subject to skin support) Win10 and 11 styles.

I'm absolutely dying to know! :D

So, where do I find Stardock Start11, so that I may fix my problem? :)

You can buy it from here: (Keep in mind what they said in the above post. The jumplist are no longer skinnable as of windows 10 & 11. So they are left as is and cannot be supported by other 3rd party modifications to it with Windowblinds.)

OK, thanks for the link. :-) I'll go take a look at it ASAP.

As for the jump list modifications & stuff, however, I have received a second opinion &/or suggestions from a previous replier.

You perhaps might want to look at it.

Like we all said, unfortunately microsoft axed the original jumplist, its no longer available in windows 10/11 Whatever program you are using to bring it back is not the real menu and will 100% be the reason why it wont skin properly. You will need to remove that modification if you want working jumplist as its not supported under windowblinds.

Oh, darn... :-(

*(gets an idea)*

Wait, Neil Banfield just gave me a GREAT idea in his post above, & explained how it might possibly solve my problem! :-) I'm going to follow his advice, & see if it works.  Wish me luck!
