Start11 Taskbar Document Shortcuts, Day of the week in System Tray

Two short questions.

Is there a way to pin a shortcut to a document to the Taskbar (Windows 11). I was able to do it when I first got Win11, but it doesn't seem to work now.

The other question is that I used to have a two row task bar with tiny icons, and as a result the day of the week, time, and date all appeared in the System tray. I haven't found a way to do that with Win11/Star11. Is it even possible?

Thanks!

Hello,

I don't think there is a way to pin a document to taskbar.

As for the two row taskbar, that is possible, just need to enable Enhance the taskbar. (Start11 Config windows->Taskbar tab-> Top right slider button). Once that is on just click at the edge of the taskbar and drag up to add rows. You can set "taskbar size" to small for those tiny icons. Not too sure on day of the week, but time and date will be display when enough room.

Thanks

I don't know if I've tried that since Win11! That used to add the weekday to the System Time, but not this time.

Thanks for the reminder!

BUG REPORT:

So I tried expanding the Taskbar to two rows, but it has problems!

This is what it looks like normally at one row:

Icons are Safely Remove, Bluetooth, Task Manager, Dropbox, Intel Driver Support, HP ToolboxFX, OneDrive, and Windows Security. Icons in a single row are hardware icons and the time.

After going to two rows, it looks like this:

Also, with a 2 row taskbar, the time flickers consistently, even with Seconds turned off (which I would prefer On).

Luckily, going back to a One Row Taskbar actually restores all of the Tray icons.

The snapshots above were after a reboot with 2 Rows on, but I also tried using the Settings Restart Explorer button with the same results.

Guess I'll go back to one row Taskbar, but at least I'll get the Seconds back!

BTW, I was able to pin a .TXT file to the Taskbar following the directions here: How to Pin Almost Anything to the Windows 11 Taskbar.  I had done it my original upgrade to Win11 with a PDF and able to move it next to my Acrobat pinned icon. While this worked, I am unable to move it from the very end of the Task Bar! It looks like it wants to, but the horizontal bar indicating its new position is constantly flickering and ultimately it doesn't move.

I got it to Pin, but it's at the end of the Taskbar and can't get it to move. I'm running Win 11 Pro.
