Start11 sometimes slow loading

Hi

I use Start11 in win10 mode in fullscreen.

Sometimes, the icons do take several seconds to load. Most of the time it is fast though.

I use a new i7 with 32GB of memory so that is not the problem.

Hello,
Sorry to hear you are having issues. How many icons you have on your fullscreen startpanel. A screenshot of that Startpanel might also help too.

Just a thought of possibilities, does those icons correctly sized. For those small icons, do you use small size graphics such as 48x48pixel and the large one is 256x256pixel. Anything larger, it will need sometimes to load it and resize it to size.

Aha... this means some work to be done
will be 256x256 fine for all the tiles you think? In that case i can change the size of a tile without extra hassle

resizing all the icons to 256x256 does not make any difference

it should hold the menu in cache or something like that

I suspect that one or more of your shortcuts is requiring some information from your network to update like a network drive. I can see an obvious one from your screenshot:

Try to remove that one (or others you can think of) for a while and see what happens.

Might have made a mistake.. i noticed this first time after reboot.

maybe resizing is enough, keep you informed

I still experience reloading of all the images in the full size start menu (win 10 style)

I have a full screen of icons so loading takes some time however i do not understand why the images sometimes (quite often quite frankly)need to be reloaded at all.. Isnt this written in cache or something?

All my images do not exceed 512 pix in with or height
