Start 11 Findings

Multiple Issues

1) Where is the User Manual?!? This is a complex application, with a wide array of settings, sub-menus, etc. Hopefully I have just missed how to find it, but that would only mean it should be much easier to find. Why must we have to flop-and-twitch/experiment to see if we can stumble across some combination of settings that will make the app do all that we want to do (or find, frustratingly, that it cannot do what we wish)??

2) My primary desire is to be able to search for a string in the Start Menu and receive a simple listing back with the ability EASILY  run the application normally, run the application AS ADMINISTRATOR, and preferably do things like open the application, pin to start or taskbar, etc. But the first two are ABSOLUTELY MANDATORY. I wouldn't even mind having to click some key stroke to get those abilities to appear.

3) But do not force me to touch a mouse to go get those options. That is the only way I have been able to run an app as admin outside of selecting Windows 10 Style as my Start Menu preference and disabling the Start11 start menu. But when I do that, the Start menu initially appears way over on the upper left corner of my ultra-wide screen, but immeditately snaps under my Start icon in the center of my task bar as soon as I start typing to find an app/document.

4) When I show the Start menu on secondary monitor and press the Win key, the Start menu ALWAYS opens on the Primary monitor - regardless of where the focus is at the time.

Thank you in advance for helping me resove these issues, or for fixing the app so as to address them.

Hello,
Sorry to hear you are having issues.

  1. There is no user manual. Its more like inside application guide within the application itself. Every option have a brief explanation of what it does.
  2. Doesn't the Start11 search returned what you looking for? Don't you see "Run as Administrator" if you right click those search items if it executable? I believe what you trying to get to is achievable in Start11. If it not can you post a video and explain what can not be done?
  3. Do you have Stardock's "ObjectDock" installed? If not, can you post a video of this happening.
  4. I believe this behavior is known. However, to be sure, I have forward your problem/question to Stardock Support Team for their assistance. Please keep an eye on this thread for any updates. We appreciate your feedback and patience.
