Start11 not working on Windows 11 22H2

Hello everyone,

I've just been installing Start11 on my Surface Book 3 which has the latest 22H2 version of Windows 11. And nothing happens, the services are running, the processes are there (Start11 and Start11 Service 32bits) but nothing happens while clicking the Windows Menu or tapping the Windows button.

I do have Start11 running on two other Surface laptops which don't have the latest version of Windows 11 yet, and the software works. So maybe it is not yet quite compatible with 22H2 ?

I've tried installing version 1.25 and 1.27 beta, none of them work.

Thanks in advance for the help.

Same result, I purged/uninstalled it, re-downloaded the 1.27 beta, installed it, and reboot. After the installation, the setup just closed and then no other window prompted, not even for registration.

Hum... I had to reboot again for another software installation, and now it works perfectly fine. I had installed a bunch of other softwares, maybe one of them added required libraries for Start11 to work properly ?

Hello:

After Windows 11 update 2242, positioning the taskbar is a no go.

I've been trying to get the taskbar to position at the top of my monitor. I tried the Purge file but nogo. My taskbar is firmly stuck at the bottom of the monitor.

Thanks

Welp,

Start11_1.4.0.3-j285 did not fix my issue (With the Start 11 start menu not opening vice the Win 11 menu)

BUT!

Start11_1.4.0.3-j286 DID FIX IT!!!

Props to the developers for getting changes out so quickly to match Big Bill's 22H2 surprize!

Great work Stardock!

I got it to work by right clicking on the program in the start menu and selecting "Run as Administrator."

Hopefully you were able to update out of 22h2 as that version of windows hasn't been supported for a very long time now
