Very long delay with taskbar response

Microsoft Windows

Version 21H2 (OS Build 22000.856)

Start11 version: 1.25

I can fairly easily reproduce a problem where the taskbar is completely unresponsive for quite a long time (about 20 seconds or so).

  1. Open up both a command window and a Microsoft Teams chat window (it may work with other apps too but it happens for me with Teams)
  2. Click on the command window on the task bar to freely show and hide the window.
  3. Move around the other Teams window a little bit
  4. The taskbar is completely unresponsive - I can click on the command window in the task bar several times and nothing happens, and then about 20 seconds later it will flash on the screen for as many times as I clicked it.

Welp, I still pretty frequently get task bar delays.  I can reproduce it pretty easily.  I just start minimizing and maximizing a window by clicking on the taskbar item and after a few times the taskbar freezes, and then all of my clicks get queued up and then that window pops up many multiple times in a row as the queue gets processed.

Any chance you upgraded to v1.3 to test this?  My trial just ran out and the problem is so bad that I've been unwilling to pay because it makes the product fairly un-usable for me.

I recently upgraded to version 1.3 and so far the problem has not been seen.

Thanks, I'll see if I can start a new trial for my work PC and try it out.  Hopefully the problem does not come back for either of us!
