In Start11, here is a suggested change in one of your future versions:
Within the section titled "Advanced taskbar tweaks", consider adding option to change the font colors in the taskbar. I'm including a link to an image which illustrates why this is needed.
yep.. that did it... but of course, now all my other things have white backgrounds... no more 'dark mode'. I suppose that's the cost. If Start11 offers taskbar Advanced tweaks, wouldn't it be nice if font colors were among them?
Well, thanks for the tip. I'll turn off 'dark mode'.
You can set windows to have light taskbar and dark windows. It is the custom option.
The issue is whilst we could offer text colour override, we couldn't offer colour overrides for the clock or system tray icons which in dark taskbar mode will be often white.
You could also make your taskbar darker in Start11 so the white text displays better.
