Start11 crashes

I've been using Start11 for a couple of days now, and most of the time it's pretty good. Big improvement on Start10 when I tried it a few years ago.

However I've noticed it crashes and restarts a lot. Most of this was when I was configuring my start menu to look like my old Win10 start menu. I previously used 3rd party software to get better icons on the start menu so needed to redo the icons for Start11. Not a problem, just use the "Pick custom tile image" option. This works most of the time. But now and again I get a timer mouse icon and it just completely restarts explorer. A few seconds later Start11 restarts and it *might* have applied the icon. I thought possibly a problem with some PNG files, as it seemed the same ones kept causing crashes. But no, I change another icon in the meantime, no worries, go back to the original problem icon, and it works fine with the same PNG.

Obviously was a bit of a chore to get it all done, but got there in the end. This is not really what I'm bothered about. I think Start11 restarting randomly. Twice now I have come back from lunch, a break etc, and the Windows are not in the correct place. I noticed this with the icon problem. Basically I use FancyZones and when Explorer restarted the Windows set into zones would move back to their initial positions.

Is this a known problem? And is there a Start11 log file I can check to confirm my suspicions?

Thanks Basj. I've done some additional tests since posting and I think Start11 has stabalised now. From what I can see the issue with Windows repositioning out of FancyZones can be caused by an Explorer crash (due to Start11) or from locking/unlocking the PC (which is a FancyZones issue). Since completing my Start11 customisation, and not locking my PC while away from my desk (because of cats, so I'm turning the keyboard/mouse off instead), then I have not seen Explorer restart while I'm using the PC or signs of it restarting while I've been away.

That's not to say you don't have an issue with Start11 crashing. My whole customisation experience (esp with picking tile icons) caused many Explorer restarts.
