Start 11 no longer compatible with Windows 11!!!

Today's Developer's build install popped up  new screen "seeing if your computer is ready for Windows 11" or somethinglike that. Then it required me to uninstall Start 11 and reboot!

Please refund my money.

They have no bug report option

If you are using an Insider build of Windows 11, things like that are more than likely to happen and has nothing to do with Start 11 not being compatible with Windows 11. Insider/Developer builds are kind of "beta" versions, and it's very unreasonable to expect all software to run flawlessly. I can assure you that Start 11 is working very well with Windows 11 Public versions.

I know it is, I have it going. But they actually made me remove Start 11.

I don't think very much stuff is going to work if you use the DEV channel. That channel should only be used by Windows 11 die hards that only want a native Windows 11 experience. The DEV channel is set up to experiment on what may or may not be a good idea for actual Windows 11 builds, it is not even an alpha build as it has parts inserted and taken out weekly.

Unfortunately, Microsoft does not always make it clear what you are getting yourself into when it comes to their insider program. It is no fun being stuck on that channel when it is not offering anything that great to begin with. I would strongly recommend everyone to leave that channel unless they really love Microsoft and vanilla Windows 11. However, I do feel the pain of having to do a clean install of Windows 11 just to get yourself off that channel. It can be a trap.

Please contact Microsoft by filing a bug with them via the feedback tool.  It should not be asking you to remove Start11 but that would be a Microsoft issue not a Stardock one.  It is worth noting we have no other bug reports of this so far so if I were you I would simply reinstall Start11 after the Windows install.

It should be noted that we do not provide official support for insider releases of Windows 11 however.

Neil, you are correct. I tested the DEV build just for fun and start 11 still worked as normal for me.

My build is 22H2

Which version of Start11 were you using?  Is it possible you were using an older version of Start11?

Note that Dev channel is not 22H2 in reality thats just not been changed.  Release preview is the 22H2 version, beta and dev contain later versions and in Dev's case it contains things which will potentially never ship.

Latest DEV-Build here, Start 11 running fine. No attempt to remove anything.
