Missing folders from Windows Start Menu

My start menu does not show 4 of 5 windows folders that appear in my Start11 menu. Windows Accessories, Windows PowerShell, Windows System, and Windows Tools are all missing from the All Apps list in the Windows 11 Start Menu. Only Windows Ease of Access Appears. All 5 of these appear just fine on the Start11 menu. Can anyone help?

Hello,
Sorry to hear you are having issues. But, I don't actually understand the issue. Can you post screenshots on both of this Start menus.

Thanks

There is no way to make screenshots. The start menus, both Start11 and Windows, disappear when you open the screen snip tool. If you open the screen snip tool first, there is no way to open the start menu.

This is not rocket science. When you open the Start11 menu, the following folders appear as part of the menu: Windows Accessories, Windows System, Windows PowerShell, Windows Tools. When you open the Windows Start menu, they are absent. I have verified that the folders are present and accessible in the proper folder in File Explorer. All the shortcuts in these folders work properly. It does not matter if I open the Windows Start menu by pressing the Windows key or by ctrl-click on the windows start icon. They all work properly with a single click on any of them using th Start11 menu.

If I uninstall Start11, the Windows Start Menu shows these folders.

Mine worked fine until two days ago. Then all of a sudden they stopped showing up on the Windows Start Menu. Numerous reboots and power off and on and they still won't appear. I can get to them any time I need them, they just don't show on the menu. There is no apparent reason for this. sfc shows no problems.

I ran the purge and reinstalled, but it didn't help. The folders still appeared on the Start11 menu but not the Windows Start menu. Only Windows Ease of Access appeared, not Tools, System, PowerShell, or Accessories. Obviously Start11 was not the problem.

When I clicked on an app in the Windows Ease of Access folder and told it to open the file location, all the folders were there so I know that was not the problem. That gave me an idea. I know that Window stores Start Menu items in more than one folder. I created shortcuts for the 4 missing folders, then opened the AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\Windows\Start Menu\Programs folder and copied the shortcuts into it. I opened the Windows Start Menu again, and there they were, so that fixed the problem. Apparently Start11 could find them in the ProgramData\Microsoft\Windows\Start Menu\Programs folder, but Windows couldn't. Must be a bug in Windows.

I use Explorer Patcher, a GitHub freeware project, as well as Translucent Tb freeware in conjunction with Start11. Explorer patcher allows me to center the Start Button and use a Start11 custom icon with it, which Start11 won't do. Explorer Patcher also fixes the problem Windows 11 created that resulted in the Tray Clock W Class Not Found Error, so I can use Atomic Alarm Clock on the Task Bar, and Translucent Tb gives me 100% transparency. They all seem to co-exist without any conflicts.

I also wanted to let you know that I use Deskscapes on this machine (an Intel 11th Gen i9 16 core processor) and have installed more of your Dreams than anyone else's. I really admire both your creativity and your prolificity.
