Go to my computer/ C:/ Program files/ Stardock/ Object dock. Here is where you see all you need.

For backgrounds downloaded backgrounds unzip the folder, and put the folder itself into the backgrounds folder in object dock.

For icons what I did was made a new folder in Object dock called Wincustomize, this is where I put all the icons I get from here. Make sure you take out the actual image file ".png" and put these in there.

Most other features like the "kk menu" put in your docklets folder.

To use a background right click on the background part of the dock, make sure you didn't click on one of the icons. Then go to dock settings, In the first tab that pops up "appearance" you will see at the bottom "backgrounds" select the one you want, and the opacity that you desire. Then just "X" out the window.

To assign a specific icon on a dock item right click on the item and go to "dock item properties", this is where you can name the item, set where this will link to, and change the image. Click on change image, then you will see on the left bar all the folders that you can click on to see the icons in that folder or click all images. Find the .png image you want and click ok.

You can also set different images up for the same program, take a messenger service for example, for the actual program that has the buddy list in it, put one icon under "set image for this program". For the conversation windows click, "set image for this class", and assign the image you want for this sub type.

And I know you think this was an immediate help needed type deal, but try to refrain from typing in all caps, it basically comes down to just being rude or shouting.

horiz0n do you have ALL the pngs in that single folder , or are their subdirectories inside? I'm still fussing with how to best organize mine. I have a TON of icons, I think I downloaded ALL of Jairo's work, for example.

I put for the most part all of the downloaded ones in that folder, but I admit I have a folder for Jairo's Icons too lol I also put a folder of the Icons I made. But for the most part I have it down to 4 folders, the standard "crystalized" "jairo" "wincustomize" and "horiz0n", it's up to you how to do it, but I think 1 maybe 2 folders should be fine.

btw if your looking for a way to put the "start" "run" "search" and "shutdown/restart/standby" links into object dock go to this site
