What is your goal that you are trying to accomplish? Quick access to exclude folders from indexing or something else?

Partly quick access to exclude folders from indexing, and partly just to check occasionally the status of indexing. (Indexing has often been very slow or stopped after Windows Preview releases, despite all usual steps to correct.)

You can pin the excluded folders, but I think that would be it. I don't think The status can be pinned as it is more of a display vs. a selectable option.
