New folders are places behind fences

Greetings All.

Having used fences for many years, following a recent reload the following has occurred.

When a new program is added the desktop shortcut appears in the top left hand corner of the screen behind a fence, this never used to happen before.

When the option to create new folder or shortcut is used then the folder appears where the mouse is located when right click was selected.

I realize that the workaround offered is to create a fence and direct all new to it, but why.

I would like it back to how it was when new program shortcuts appeared in free space below the fences.

Have i done something wrong or forgot to select an option some ware, please advise.

Regards

Alan Duncan

Hello,
Sorry to hear you are having issues. Need to know more on your system.

  1. Windows 7,8,10 or 11? Also need its full version numbers please. Use Winver.exe to get those.
  2. Fences version.

Thanks

Windows 10,yes? Multimonitor setup? resolution and scaling please. Also can you try disable "auto arrange icons" and see if that help.

Thank you,
