right-click menu only has "close all windows"

With multiple windows open within a single app, eg MS Excel, you should be able to right-click on an individual window in the task bar and see "close this window" (present in Windows 10 but not in start11). Only "close all windows" is present.

Sorry to hear you are having issues. But, I am not really seeing it in my Windows 10 system. Can you make a video on how it done in Windows 10.

I slightly misdescribed the context ment but the effect is the same. Here is the Windows 10 grab showing three files open in MS excel. If you right click on one of them in the taskbar you can close just that one sheet (window)
Here is the same thing in Start11.
As you can see only 'close all windows' is available.

Came to the forum to ask the same thing. Having a "Close window" option would be very useful.
I also would like this feature very much. I used it all the time in Windows 10 and it drives me nuts that I can't use it anymore. Thank you for your consideration.
Came here to request the same thing! It definitely takes a bit of getting used to otherwise. If I were to implement it, I'd probably include the option to have both, 'close window' and 'close all windows', with close window being the bottom most option for easier/default access
You can access close easily by hovering over the button and clicking X in the top right corner of the thumbnail preview which shows up.
Yes that's true but it's still not as ideal/efficient as a the original "Close window" option. In most situations this distinction would be fairly trivial but I am a heavy multi-tasker and with all of the concurrent windows I have open the "Close window" option would still be much appreciated.
Ditto. The idea behind ungrouping in the first place is so you wouldn't have to muck about locating where your window is within a group.
To have to hover over the specific window, which then launches a pop up showing the entire group, and then subsequently find the "X" within it kind of defeats the purpose.
If I have 5 excel sheets open (as I do now) and hover over the tab in the taskbar IO get nothing. What other button is there?
I absolutely agree this behavior needs to be fixed. The whole purpose of ungrouped icons is so that they behave like Win10 and allow individual control. Defaulting to "close all" means it's just behaving like Windows 11 and not treating them properly. I used to use the individual close option all the time.
I get the 'hover' thinking now. It's just a red close X in the thumbnail. not ideal but at least it's a smaller mouse move than going for the full size window. BUT no substitute for a proper fix.
yeah im another 1 that's getting super frustrated with the close all instead of close window.
hovering over any of the windows comes up with
so finding the hover -> x requires either knowing i plan on closing the 2nd frame or reading the titles. either way less than ideal.
i agree that having both would be super nice tho. but the bottom 1 should defs be "close this window"
