Gaming: Mouse Clicks and Scrolling duplicates on primary

On any program that has focus on the Primary,  any game,  if you right or left mouse click on a secondary.  (for movement in most mmo/rpgs for turn/look) or use the scroll wheel, (zoom in and out)  the action is duplicated on the primary pc.

Look I am just looking for help with your software, maybe to get some helpful suggestions.

All settings are all unchecked.   All are running Version 3.57 build 00103.kvm with clean installs and multiple reboots.
Those settings in that year old post with a similar issue also did not resolve the issue, I don't own MFS, I created a new thread because this is a lot more widespread.
I'm sorry "You" are not seeing the issue but I am.

Any
program that steals focus on the primary computer causes duplication's in mouse movement and the scroll wheel when on a secondary
Here are some example pieces of software that I have tested and this repeats with.

World of Warcraft,  Everquest, Lightroom (full screen), Elden Ring, Age of Empires IV.. (lets just say my entire game library in steam)

If you want I can send you videos of this behavior.
I am using 4 computers on 4 monitors to do everything from working and playing and since this issue appeared I can do nothing on the other computers if my primary is engaged making this software essentially useless to me.

I'm having this same issue and NO, that link does not fix it and you guys closed the thread even when other users reported that it did not fix it.  I downloaded that link and installed on every computer.  My primary is Windows 11 with a build of 3.57 Build 00104.kvm , the secondary ones are running Windows 10 yet their builds are 3.58 Build 00104, what gives?

You would require build 104 not 103.

Why do you keep on mentioning apps stealing focus?  In what way do you think they are stealing focus?

When you say the same issue can you explain further exactly what issue you have and when you encounter it with what software and what other software may be running?  Also do you use an XMouse like tool?  Also is this via KVM or seamless mode?

I ask because the issue reported by the thread creator is not the same as the issue reported in that thread with everquest so we would need additional information please.  I believe only one user continued to encounter problems and it was this thread creator whose issues differ from others.

Regarding versions.  I believe it should say 3.58 build 00104.  The extension of KVM simply indicates which version of Multiplicity you have (KM, KVM etc).  Secondary computers do not show this as they do not get activated so it doesn't know this informaiton.

Most full screen Applications or games steal focus from the desktop so that there is no click through or interference with the task bar, requiring you to alt tab or physically click the window to shift mouse/keyboard focus.

So any application on the primary computer in full screen that takes focus duplicates any and all left, right or scroll movements on the primary computer when on a secondary screen.     I am not sure how I can state this any more clearly.

I am also using windows 11.   I run no xmouse third party tool, and I have checked windows 11 settings to ensure there is no xmouse like feature enabled on the primary or on any of the secondaries.  My secondaries are also running windows 10.  Maybe that is part of the issue.

I did run the other version in the EQ thread that was mentioned, but it did not fix the issue, and I reverted to the supported release rather than run a beta that you chose to lock a thread on rather than address issues others were still having.

If you want clips of the actions I can capture for you.

Lets say I have world of warcraft on the primary in full screen.  The scroll on the mouse there zooms your view in and out.
I use multiplicity and move to one of the secondary computers, open a web browser, do a search and as I scroll my WoW display is zooming as i scroll the webpage on the secondary.

If I right mouse click something on the secondary computer and hold, it swings my character around.   If I press both mouse buttons at the same time on the secondary it makes my character run off a cliff on the primary.

In lightroom in full screen.  Same thing on the secondary.  In Elden ring, same thing....etc etc

if I bind a key do disable mouse movement completely in a game before I move to a secondary this lets me get around this.  But that defeats the purpose of the software.

This is in seamless mode with a four computer set up

Standard computer configuration.
Show multiplicity in the task bar is the only thing checked in settings.

Control switching based on mouse movement, no options are checked

Show status window when controlling another computer is on and works, as well as darkens screen.
Show a colored line on the computer with focus never changes to the secondary and blinks off and on the primary.

I'm using Seamless mode, no Xmouse tool because it screws me up so i had to uninstall it.  I am using isboxer tho and my EQ are in windowed mode.  There hasn't been any of these issues on EQ, I quit around September 2021 and just got back into the game last week and the problem just started recently.  The main difference is I just got a new computer so the new one is running Windows 11 whereas before it was on Windows 10.

What?  I go to about on secondary and they show a 3.58 build 00104 Windows 10.  The primary shows 3.57 build 00104 Windows 11.  There are no further updates on the Windows 11.  Both are using the SAME install file.

Did you guys fix the issue in Windows 11 or only in Windows 10?  I am wondering if it's a Windows 11 issue.

Well, it seems like I fixed my issue by forcing Multiplicity to run in Windows 7 compatibility mode on the Primary computer which is using Windows 11.

Compatibility mode did not resolve.  I also went into windows 11 and ensured that all touch screen features were disabled, I thought that might be it.  Same issue

For any test to be adequate, this build of Multiplicity must be used on every PC:

https://cdn.stardock.us/support/uploads/Multiplicity_3.57-j68-Setup.exe

A clean boot must be performed:

https://forums.stardock.com/486104/multiplicity-support-faq#cleanboot

That means under a new Windows Admin account and with every other non-Windows service \ app shut down with the exception of the MP service (detailed in the clean boot link).

If that resolves the issues (very high confidence it will), it would be a process of introducing your other apps - one at a time - to see what is causing the conflict.

I went into Multiplicity.exe at C:\ProgramData\Microsoft\Windows\Start Menu\Programs\Stardock  .  Properties, compatibility Windows 7.
