haha! well, i found the SCRIPTS PACK 1 START for dockjet. It says make a new shortcut for the show desktop script. I did that but it doesn't show the desktop. What is my problem?

Well I just created a new shortcut and let it point to the quick launch menu-item "Show desktop". Worked fine for me.

Instead of a docklet, you could use the system shortcuts. Just hit the Win-button + m (Win+M) this shows your desktop, minimizing all open windows and apps immediately. (In Windowz XP, I'm not sure with previous releases?).

Just tried shortcutting to the Show Desktop quick-launch item and it worked for me, so not sure why it's not for you. Keyboard tip update: Windows key + M will minimize all windows, displaying the desktop, but the true keyboard equivalent for "Show Desktop" is Windows key + D; hitting this will minimize everything, and hitting it again will return everything to the way it was, the way clicking the Show Desktop icon again will.

Yeah I know, but if you hit Win+D and you have DesktopX installed as I have, DesktopX somehow "doesn't" work. It's still running but IconX features and objects etc. are hidden as well. It's like DesktopX runs on top of the desktop and when you hit Win+D it hides DesktopX too...that's why I said Win+M.
