There is a lot to dive into on this update. First off is this the correct position of the taskbar tabs?

Which taskbar size are you using and which version of Windows 11?

Are you sure thats on medium as those icons look like large.

Also is that an autohide taskbar?  Those can only be one line and a fixed height.

That is still very interesting and perhaps something we need to account for....

Latest windows updates seem to break moving secondary monitor taskbars to top.
The registry keys associated with moving taskbars (regardless of start11) don't seem to do anything anymore either.

Seems Microsoft really want to kill the taskbar.. :/

• Well I don't use the feature on my main monitor, but I did test it and was able to move that to the top.

Other monitors however, did not work at all. :/

I used the registry changes as I have special needs not covered with start 11 settings (I have the taskbar on bottom on main and screen 2 but on top on 3 (due to how my screens are arranged physically)

Now however neither registry settings or the start11 menu does anything.

What is this?

I have it set, but it doesn't work, I don't see the seconds in the system tray. But I have taken these steps:

1. Start the Registry Editor (regedit.exe)

2. Go to the following registry branch:HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\Advanced

3. In the right-pane, create a DWORD (32-bit) value named ShowSecondsInSystemClock

4. Double-click ShowSecondsInSystemClock and set its data to 1

5. Exit the Registry Editor.Log off and login back in. Or restart the Explorer shell for the change to take effect.

This requires Win11 beta or dev channel to work (or Windows 10)

I have tried to change or delete the registry keys but nothing happens. For me it looks like Windows simply ignores those entries now... :/

That i see also got installed this month.

You are not using the dev/beta version of Windows 11 which is why the option is not available.  It requires a newer version of Windows 11.

I keep wondering why those who bought a pack of 5 licenses and want to participate in testing the beta versions should beg every time for a link.  

For those who are not aware: in the purchased licenses section there are no purchases of packs of 5 licenses; the only place where there is a trace of it is in the purchase history; there is the only link to download the software (and only in stable version, no beta)  

I'm on v1.2 (don't know if Beta, app doesn't say, check for updates says I'm on current s/w)

If I select "Let Start11 enhance  the taskbar" then all pinned shortcuts and all running programs disappear.  I can't find any options that work.  When I click "Restart explorer", I see them appear before start11 gets involved (I think) then disappear.
