Changes You Made To Missiles Need Some More Changes

The latest version made some changes to how ranged missile attacks work, but I think there are still some bug fixes and enhancements that need to be made:

  1. The first screen snapshot below shows that my fleet has 2 ranged missile options, both with a range of 5 tiles (see the second and third screen snapshots).  The fourth screen snapshot shows that, after I performed a ranged missile attack on the enemy shipyard, I still have the option of using the second ranged missile attack.  The fifth screen snapshot shows that, after performing the second ranged attack on the enemy shipyard, the damage done on the shipyard was 31 (200 - 169).
    1. Why do I now have the ability to do 2 ranged missile attacks, both with a range of 5 tiles?  Why not 1, or 3, or 4, etc.?
    2. How do I know what the attack value is for each ranged missile attack? I can see what the attack value is if I choose to engage in combat, but not what the attack value is for a ranged attack.

My suggestion has 3 parts:

  1. Only have multiple ranged missile options if they have different ranges.
  2. When you select a ranged missile option and a target, you should then be able to select the ships in your fleet that you want to participate in the attack.  Each ship should show their ranged missile attack value.
  3. You should be able to continue to attack targets as long as you have ships that still have an unused ranged missile attack ability.

In my experience, better missile parts have better long range attacks. Chances are you are using a fleet with multiple different tiers of missile weapons.

As for damage, I've found that they deal damage equal what a single round of attack does. So if your fleet has an attack of 50, expect it do 25 damage (average damage). Also, I find that ranged missile attacks can only kill 1 ship per turn. Great if you are attacking a few big ships, bad if you are attacking a swarm.
