Multiplicity is not working

I just purchased the entire suite.  One main reason that I purchased this was for Multiplicity.  Multiplicity is NOT working.

I have done troubleshooting and I am getting a bit annoyed.  Please help.

Troubleshooting:

1) both machines rebooted

2) removed and re-added the machine to Multiplicity

3) network type for both (private)

4) firewall off on both

5) re-installed (as admin)

6) downgraded to 3.44 build 00090.  This version actually says connected but never lets me move the mouse to the 2nd computer (yes I know about the alignment).

NOTE: I have gone back up to the latest version of Multiplicity

7) Microsoft's Mouse without Boarders works just fine with NO issues.  So there is something going on with the software.

8) Entered into the settings and removed any settings that would appear to prevent connectivity.

9) I googled it and read on your forums.  It seems that a LOT of people have issues with Multiplicity.  I feel like a guinea pig. I paid for this software and this should NOT be an issue to have to deal with or spend my entire day troubleshooting. 

I am reaching out in good faith.  Please help me resolve this.

I got it working.  I uninstalled and reinstalled.  On the 3rd attempt, I told it to always use the IP address that it found.  I tried this before and it DID NOT work, but it is working this time.  I have no idea why.

hopefully, this stays this way

Tried all the above mentioned solutions but nothing worked, stopped trying.  Waste of money for a whole year would never recommend.
