Start11 makes windows general rendering laggy

This issue is driving me nuts.  It seems Start11 introduces an extra latency somewhere on the entire Windows Desktop Manager somehow.

The single most easy way to check for this issue is to start Start11 and then open the Task Manager and close it, you will see a 1 second delay on the Task Manager before disappearing.  The window appears to be stuck for a second and then dissapears.

As soon as I stop Start11 the latency dissapears and I regain my instant speed on opening/closing windows.

What is going on here?.  This is a deal breaker for me, is there anything that I could disable on the program that could speed things up?.

I'm on Windows 10 with latest NVIDIA drivers and an RTX3080 with a Ryzen 9 3950X

Lagging behavior when using Windows 10 style full screen start menu on Windows 11 (fresh install).

The follow actions result in lagging issues

- pin or unpin app

- resize tile

- move tile between group

Latest installed version of Start11 download as at December 5th

All windows updates applied up to 22H2 (Build 22621.900) and patched up to date.

4K desktop resolution, single desktop no dual monitor multiple taskbar complications.

Have tried all the various suggestions in this thread about disabling/enabling various animations and auto-hide features. TaskMgr start/stop does not lag for me. But interacting with the Win10 fullscreen start does.

Have uninstalled and rebooted and then reinstalled. Same issue returns.

I have tried disabling the Start11 search features and just using windows built-in search, The lag is still present.

 

Hope this is something that is know or there are settings to resolve.

Here is a session running Start11 with Win10 style full screen start menu.

pausing of lagging occurs when resizing tiles about 1/3 of the time and when dismissing the start menu 1 in 5.

Then as suggested here is a session with version 1.35 installed as suggested.

No more lag when dismissing start menu at all that I could tell with 1.35

Bit the tile resize pause is still occurring about the same 1 in 3.
