Start Menu 10

Show recently used applications

In Start Menu 10, from where is the list of programs obtained that appear when 'Show recently used applications' is turned on?  From time to time, I want to purge the list of applications. Currently, I have to right-click every entry and select 'Remove from this list' one by one. Is there a way to delete the entire list at the same time? Is there a key in the registry I can edit to delete the list of applications?

These should unflag after 48 hours, would that help you out?

The list is obtained from Windows itself.  If you search for clear start menu history you can probably find a tutorial on clearing this list.

The 48 hours comment above is in reference to the new flag which is a different thing.

For clarification, I am not speaking about the Run history.  I am speaking of the programs that accumulate in the vertical whitespace and appear when you first click on the Start menu.  They are listed newest to oldest top to bottom.  Oldest falls off the bottom of the list.
