Mouse misaligned when using KVM

1080p host on 4K secondary

Hello,

I just purchased an upgrade to KVM Pro, but I'm noticing an issue when I use KVM to connect to a secondary computer.

The visual mouse cursor does not line up with the actual mouse, so I have to guess where I am clicking. It looks like it is correct at the bottom-left of the screen, but the further out I go, the further the cursor drifts.

Here is a video of the problem.

I don't know if this is related to my secondary PC being 4K while my primary is 1080p, but I would like to keep the secondary at 4K.

Any ideas on what the problem might be?

Thanks,

Rob

What happens when you have the Secondary at the same resolution?

Here is a recording of what happens when the secondary is the same resolution as the primary.

Either the entire screen is black, or there are scrollbars on the side which all lead to more black.

The mouse problem is still happening, but worse now.

Any ideas?

Does the Secondary have an actual monitor hooked up to it when you KVM to it - is that monitor on at the time if so?

Yes, the secondary has a monitor. Two monitors, actually, but I disabled the second one during testing to rule that out.

Still haven't received any assistance on this. I did submit a support ticket and have not heard anything back. What would be my next steps here?

Such issues are addressed here, in the forums, not in tickets.

I would like to have you do a clean boot, under new admin accounts for each PC, and test with the same resolution on the Primary and Seconday - each with just one monitor attached to start.  What we are attempting here is to see what component - once introduced (setting, 3rd party app, monitor, etc) has it fail.

This is what you would follow - again, on each PC:

I'm experiencing the same issue, but less pronounced. I'm not really willing to super inconvenience myself depending on the troubleshooting, but I'm more than happy to run a dev build with some extended logging or another tool to get you guys diagnostic data.
