PSP8 Update

For those of you that use PSP8, there is a NEW major update available at http://www.jasc.com/patches.asp
Updates to version 8.10.
This update fixes many many crash issues, PNG fixes, and in general is a beautiful thing!

As a side note: For transparent PNG files, I had to change a setting in file format preferences.

File --> Preferences ---> File Format Preferences.
Go to the PNG tab and Uncheck the Load and save transparency from / to alpha channel option.

Thanks for the news! I opted to not participate in the beta test for this update...didn't feel like uninstalling my current version.

It's not Phoon, this is the final release. They've been beta testing it for a month or so, and now it's finished!

The final version of Paint Shop Pro 8.1 is now available from Jasc Software.
A free patch (23 MB) is available to download from www.jasc.com for all
users of the U.S. English version of Paint Shop Pro 8.0 or 8.01. Updates to
international versions will be announced in the next few weeks.
 
 
 
If you installed the Preview Version of PSP 8.1, you will need to uninstall
it, reinstall your licensed copy of PSP 8.0 or 8.01, then run the new PSP
8.1 patch. If you have PSP 8.0, there is no need to apply the PSP 8.01 patch
before running the PSP 8.1 patch.
 
 
 
Please note that with the release of the final version of PSP 8.1, this
Preview discussion group will be closed in the next week or two. If you have any
content or posts that you would like to save, please do so at your
earliest convenience. 
 
 
 
Finally, I'm pleased to note that Jasc will be shipping a full CD version of
PSP 8.1 to all registered customers who purchased PSP 8.0 or 8.01. If you
have not yet registered your copy of the program and would like to receive
an update CD, please be sure to go to the Help menu in the program and
select "Register Product Online", then fill in the required fields.
