How to get back the weather on Windows 11 taskbar using Start11

Howdy, y'all!

I've found a way to get back the Windows 10 weather display for your desktop. Prerequisite: must have "widgets" in taskbar.

It requires just two steps. Step one, open up the Windows settings program, then go to taskbar settings and set the alignment to "left".

Step two: open Start11 configuration and click on "Start Button". From there, click the slider "position the start button in the center of the taskbar."

And viola! That's all you need. Seems to be a bug. But it's a bug that's useful.

Hello,

Thanks for the tip. But, I don't get what you have there after following your guide. May I know, what version of Windows 11 you have on?

Thank you,

Okay, I get it working after I update my Windows 11 to V21H2 (OS Build 22000.527). Appreciate your guide.

Note : After reboot, Need to click on the Widget icon to have the Widget load the latest condition and change the Widget icon on taskbar to current condition.

Thank you,

Followed these steps and still no joy. Lots of people with this issue so it is probably not caused by Start 11.

Based on what I have read about the Sun Valley 2 release schedule there should be new Dev build released every Wednesday (correct me if I am wrong) until this Windows 11 build becomes stable enough for the Beta channel. If you happen to be using the Dev Channel I would definitely be reporting issues directly to Microsoft.

You are correct. If you have the Enhanced taskbar turned on and center aligned, the Widget (weather) does not display. If you turn the Enhanced taskbar off and you select center aligned, the the Widget (weather) will display on the left. It's a Windows issue.

I cant get it to show up on the left no matter what Unless i disable start 11.

Im still messing around but yea.

I can get it show show near the system tray just fine.

But ok. Thank you. Would they even care to fix this since its a conflict with Start 11 and windows?

Sorry, I'm on 23H2. I think it's a Windows thing which Stardock can't control.
