Oh yes it doesnt have to scroll either. I just want it on the desktop cuz I will not have a taskbar nor a system tray. I will be using the DesktopX "Round Player" and I just need the Song Info on the desktop...

Mr. Ass: WinAmp 3 is a discontinued product. There will be no support for WinAmp 3.

isn't there a plugin somewhere for wa3 which will allow wa2 commands to be applied? Would that also work for what is being asked here? I tried to find that plug in thread, but I failed Sorry.

Well today I downloaded Winamp2 and used a DX object I downloaded from the site and edited a little bit so it would work with Winamp2, and voila I got the song title to appear on the desktop. And now I downloaded the Winamp2 Plugin Manager for support with Winamp3 but the only problem Im having is that the Song Info doesnt update when I switch songs. But its getting close to the finished product. Thought I'd keep everyone updated. Bump.

Actually it came from a Theme called SonyWinamp (https://www.wincustomize.com/skins.asp?searchtext=sony&sort=updatedate&order=Descending&library=3&MP3+Player+Objects=on)
I just took the object on the theme labeled "Not Preset" and exported it and used it on theme Im working on. But the only problem with the object is the plugins that are used with it are for Winamp and outdated.

Hopefully this will get done soon. I really need it done within a months timeframe. I dont understand why nobody has created something like this yet for Winamp3, but then you have about 1200 different clocks. I take it this site isnt very fond of Winamp. But Ill let everyone know how things are going.
Winamp2 will work I believe with what I have, because I can update the info manually by right clicking on the song title - select properties - then hit apply and it updates, but thats not how it should be..Hopefully someone will be willing to work with me on this.

I think winamp is coming out with a new version

5 I think... and there were so many issue with winamp3 that they stopped supporting it. (although it worked for me but I did have ram issues with some themes)

Yeah Ive used many Media Players myself. Ive never had a problem with Winamp3 except it crashed unexpectedly on me. Well isnt Winamp 5 just a mix between Winamp2 and Winamp3 so basically Im thinking any Plugin made for both 2 and 3 would work on 5? Right?

Yes. That's the idea. Although some WA3 stuff wouldn't work. Let's hope NullSoft adds the WA2 plugin interface to WA5. That would not only help DXPlayer, but also LiteStep, HoverDesk, etc.

Been busy for a few days. Sorry for the late response.

No Problem MadIce. I still have had no luck getting song info updated. Ive been messing around with it for like 2 straight days nothing except I crash DX like every 1 out of 5 times Im doing something that it does not like. Hopefully Ill get lucky soon

This may sound like a noob question. But once i download some icons for object dock how do i link them to the program to open the program?

I am not an Object Dock guru. But I do make that DesktopX plugin. I'll play around with it and see if I can reproduce it.

i figured it out.....just drag and drop the icon on the docking bar...right click go to object dock properties click browse and find your exe file. sometimes it will change your icon if that happens just click on change icon and make sure your icons are in the docklets folder
