Start11

to update or not to update

So, Object Desktop continues to nag me that Start11 needs to be updated; I launch the update, it does its thing, I reboot, and there it is again - once I check in Start11, it tells me that I have the latest system - which one of these protocols is lying to me? Any ideas on what is really happening here and what should be done?
