Start 11 not working on primary monitor - it moves taskbar on secondary monitor but not on primary monitor

I just purchased and installed the most recent Start 11 - specifically to move the taskbar on Windows 11 back to the top of the screen.  I adjust the settings for my primary and secondary monitor, restart explorer - and it has worked on my secondary monitor, but not on my primary.

The taskbar on my primary monitor does not budge.  After restarting the computer, Start 11 reflects it on the bottom of the screen.

Is there any way to get this to work on the primary screen?  If not I will need to return it.

Thank you for any assistance -

Same issue here, only works when I use the Win button on my keyboard. Must be a recent win11 update that broke it, because it was working fine a few days ago.

Hello,
Sorry to hear you are having issues. There is a known issue of Start11 beta V1.11 vs Windows 11 Dev insider release as mentioned here : https://forums.stardock.com/509537/get;3833541. It is best to not be using a Dev insider build  since it is not stable version. Unless you're a dev, you can expect some strange behavior on your system.

I have a similar problem, but I'm running Windows 10 w/Start11 v1.1 - primary monitor has taskbar left aligned no matter what setting I use, but secondary monitor has it centred.

Secondary  monitor is configured as 'side by side' but has a different resolution to primary incase that provides any clues?

Anything I can do to fix this?

Thanks.

Hello,
Sorry to hear you are having issues. Please try the new Start11 V1.11 Beta. I am on it and I don't have issue with Start Button not center on dual monitor setup.

Thanks

I've now upgraded to 1.11beta and still have issues, now the primary monitor is centred, but secondary is on left side.

I noticed that Post no. 23 in the beta feedback thread appears to have the same problem as me - although I am running Windows 10 Pro.

Thanks.

Please try purge and reinstall steps as mentioned here: [link]. Just make sure to redownload the latest version from your account. Reboot after the purged. Reinstall, and Reboot again after the installation. Retest it. Report back here.

Same issue here. Few Days ago I was told to install the beta 1.11, and it worked like it should. Today I received the Update to the stable release 1.11, and the issue is occurred again. First monitor has the Task symbols on the left side. Very annoying.

I followed these steps, installed the latest beta. Initially task bar was centred on both screens, but after a subsequent reboot the primary screen became left-aligned again, with the secondary still centred.

That is strange. I am on Dual monitors Windows 10 too, but no issue on Start buttons not center align. May I know what version of Windows 10 you have. You can use Winver.exe to get full Windows version numbers. I am currently on Win10 Version 21H1 (OS Build 19043.1466)

This is exactly whats happening to me. I had the issue, deleted, booted anew, reinstalled the latest version, rebooted and all was fine. After the next boot the problem is there again.

Honestly, I won't do that. I'm not a computer-professional and have lost good running systems to experiments like that. That is the kind of work I think Software Companies like yours should do before releasing the Programs. I really like your Software, and mostly it runs just perfectly. My system is quite fresh built about two weeks from now, I really don't want to mess it up with stuff that I think isn't my job. I'll just wait until bug fixing on your side will be done.

Sorry for my poor English.

Regards
Dirk

Sorry for the delay in responding, I am on:

Windows 10 Pro

Version 21H2 (Build 19044.1526)

My hardware is a Lenovo Thinkcentre Tiny M710q running two monitors from the built-in DisplayPorts (via DP to HDMI cable)

Primary monitor resolution is 1920 x 1080

Secondary monitor resolution is 1360 x 768 (this is actually a Sony TV being used as a monitor.

Earlier this week I completely formatted and rebuilt my PC from a Windows installation USB, installed Firefox and then installed Start11 - the problem was still there.

Restarting Windows Explorer temporarily fixes the problem until a reboot.

I'm afraid I don't have any more time to help debug this problem and have now deinstalled the software.

Thanks for your support, I hope to come back to the software in the future once the problem is fixed.
