SirGoodTea's Map Collection

New map (more will come)

Hello, I would like to introduce my collection of maps, suitable for both games with players and games against AI.  I'm currently adding 4 maps, but more will be coming soon. They will be available on the official Ashes Discord. (you can find the link in the main menu of the game, and the discord will link back here for descriptions and previews)

All maps will be in .rar so you need to extract them into the Maps folder in the game Assets folder. DO NOT LEAVE THEM IN THE ARCHIVE!

There are hundreds of tutorials on how to extract something and how to find game files, but if you have any trouble, let me know.

I'll start with the smallest - Turinium Bowl is a 4-player FFA map, and Turinium Bowl Connected is the same map, except that the supply routes also go through ravines, so it's good for a two-player game.

It's a tiny map, but rich in resources, so be prepared for some pretty decent battles.

It's a very simple design with a single Turinium generator in the middle

Turinium Bowl

Tetra Ritia is a three-player FFA map with the classic amount of resources and nice dark environments that Crystal maps have.

Unfortunately, the resources near the generator in the center of the map don't line up no matter how I move them.

For some reason I can't set a higher amount of Turinium, so set 1500-2000 before playing, there are 4 generators. The AI works great on this map.

Rest is once again a symmetrical map for 4 players, whether, on teams or FFA, the large sloping space serves for beautiful battles with large armies and plenty of opportunities for unexpected ambushes. Again the map doesn't respond to my attempts to change the default amount of Turinium, so set some higher amounts before playing. I would say 3000 for teams and a half for FFA would be ideal.

And last map in post number 1.

Lost in Turinium is a six-player map, providing a slightly non-standard experience thanks to four generators that are not reachable by land. The map lends itself well to 3v3 games and forces you to choose your strategy carefully, whether it's worth trying to attack the Nexus or rather send an army into the middle to attack/defend the generator, of which there are only three on this map.

The AI on this map works absolutely great, for more experienced players I would even recommend Tough AI for the best experience.

The nexus in the middle should take the higher lines closer to the center

Again, the map won't let me ramp up the required amount of Turinium, so you'll have to do that before you start the match.

Coming soon: Quarks Rest - rebalancing resources and fixing unusually behaving AI (Enormous 12p)

Quicksand battle - rebuilding the corrupted original (Medium 4p)

Trench battle - fixing AI which keeps building the same structures over and over again (Medium 6p)

Ice Bridges - last finishing touches (Large 8p)

Rava Liver - Creating (Large ?p)

Triangle challenge - detailing (Medium 3p)

Zatracena - rebalancing resources (Large 8p)

I will be glad for any feedback. And if you decide to download the maps (again, I repeat, on the official Ashes discord) know that these are just smaller and simpler maps compared to the ones I will upload in the coming days/weeks depending on my free time.

If you'd like to help me test any of the upcoming maps, I'm available daily on the Ashes discord, can provide a beta and maybe even a companion for the game. Depending on if I have time

After far too long, I have a second post. Sorry for the delay, I didn't have much time.

The first map is The Eye. An oval-shaped map is suitable for diverse team configurations, full of resources and a few narrow but passable paths. The large clearance makes building defensive points a lot less efficient, making the map a great test of your offensive skills.

The second map is called Cracked Corridors.

It is much smaller, but it is a lot of fun, thanks to the missing radioactive deposits. Each Nexus starts with one and has a second in the middle, whoever controls it will gain a significant advantage over the others. Unfortunately, the AI on this map doesn't work too well.

There is no Turinium generator the map is made for FFA battles

.

The third map - Protlina, is again FFA and for teams.

Players are separated from each other and the only way is through the inner path system. Also, this is the last map I am creating in the crystal environment. Because it's just too dark

.

The next map is one for relaxation... That is if you think of relaxation as an open, flat map where there are no positions suitable for defense and where any more demanding AI will completely decimate you.

I give you Dolomite Insanity

.

And then there's a map I wrote about in a previous post. Ice Bridges. 8 players, where getting the center is just as important as trying to destroy the enemy from the side. In a perfect world, it would definitely bring you and your friends a lot of fun, but unfortunately not enough people play this game frequently nowadays to occupy all the starting positions, not to mention that playing multiplayer in 8 is almost impossible. However, beware, because this map thinks about large-scale battles and thus contains twice as many resources as regular maps.

.

A few more maps are to come soon, once I tweak them a bit.

You can look forward to a map whose layout greatly disadvantages some positions.

Then a map with platforms that are nice to snipe units from underneath. And a couple of others that are still in the draft stage.

I hope you will enjoy my creation and if you dislike anything or find some bug, feel free to contact me here or on discord.
