Search box shadow

Hi,

This isn't a big problem and I'm not even sure if it's a Start 11 or Windows 11 issue but occasionally I get a remnant shadow exactly in the location where the pop-up for the search box would display if hovering over the taskbar icon. It only is a problem if I don't notice it immediately and another program uses that same spot for data entry as the mouse shows busy. I have attached an image of the shadow and location above the taskbar. Note that it is centered over the search icon. The only way to remove it is to reboot or restart Windows Explorer with the task manager.

Sorry to hear you are having issues. Need more information on your system.

  1. Windows 11 version, please use Windows own Winver.exe to get full version numbers.
  2. Start11 version install.
  3. More information on your display monitor, single, dual or more display, resolution and Scaling on it.

I think that's a Windows 11 one.

Start11 is not involved in showing that popup.

Hi,

You're right. It just showed up as a Windows 11 preview fix. I'll install the update and see if that fixes it.
