Still the same Color selection setup?

Hi,

For years now, many people have asked for an update to the color & appearance window. Yet, it's not changed even in version 4? I am astounded.

It would be great to get one or more of the following integrated into the preferences.

  1. Color library
  2. RGB or Web or Hex color inputs
  3. Color wheel

I love the appearance of the new settings menu. Excellent work on that. I have yet to try the other new features.

Are you a bot? Or just spam the same message every feature request? That's pretty much the exact same message you put in my post from nearly 2 or 3 years ago!

Is there any news on this subject? (I would like the ability to specify fence colour by RGB value as well.)

Thanks for the quick reply basj!

(I am trying to hide certain fences on "some" desktop pages by placing a fence of the same colour as the desktop over top of an existing fence. Fences only gives me the option to show a given fence either on a single desktop page or on ALL desktop pages. I have to find some sort of work-around to show a fence only on "some" desktop pages.)

I would suggest to use the layout snapshot function. Create one for normal layout and second for showing the "hidden" fences". Only thing is that those "hidden fences" use Portal Fences. Create a folder anywhere in your system. Put those "hidden folder/files" in there. Link your Hidden portal Fences to that newly created Folder. Save this new layout with the "hidden" portal Fences. From there if you load your normal layout snapshot. The Hidden portal fences will not show up since it is not physically on your desktop. If you need the hidden portal fence to show up, just load the layout snapshot with that hidden portal fence in it.
