NEW Label On Recently Installed APPS

Morning

As the title says, the "new" label on recently installed apps/programas does not go away on windows 10 style ( Start 11 v1.01 )

If i switch back to original w11, new does not appear , working as usual ( once exectuted its gone )

Cheers.

PS: almost forgot one more thing. start 11 should enforce to not delete any registry key related to .lnk shortcuts on any of the 4 styles . Some apps can be executed under admin right, some not.

The new label will go away after 2 days regardless of launches.

I am unsure what you mean with your one more thing?  Are you able to explain in more detail, what registry keys etc?

An example is to launch cmd , 2nd mouse click, execute as administrator, and a windows errors message appears some problem with .lnk not associated or something like that.

The thing is my user is under administrator group, ( xx 2 double checked ) and so far i can launch almost every app from win10 tile menu, but a few ( skype, foobar2000, cmd ) ---> my os is w11

Maybe it has something to do when the APPS that were manually anchored before.

WOW! Really, it takes TWO days for the useless NEW label to disappear? Is that a Windows 11 flaw or a Start11 flaw?

Neither.

If an app is installed within the last 2 days it is considered 'new' because it is.

But it is a flaw, IMO, to display it when the user doesn't desire it, especially for 2 days. Windows used to have a setting to disable this, although it never worked. Now it isn't even offered. But many things are dumbed down. "I just installed an app; where is it?!?" "Oh look, it shows right here, New." At least in the Windows app list, I could open the app, and New would disappear. Oh well, I will have to learn to ignore it for two days.
