Windows 11 (Green) BSOD Crash

Hi,

I seem to get an intermittent crash on Windows 11 Pro Version 10.0.22000 Build 22000 (every 1-3 days) usually overnight when unattended. Sleep and hibernate are both disabled. The error code is a generic display driver problem.

I use the Steam version and am on the latest release. All Windows and other updates applied.

By a process of elimination it seems that Fences causes the crashes: the crashes stop when I uninstall fences and start again when I re-install.

Before I log a call, just want to find out if anybody else experienced the same ?

Thanx,

Hello,
Sorry to hear you are having issues. Need to know you're on Fences 3 or 4? What version?

Thanks

A crash in a video driver will be a problem with the video driver / hardware.

An user mode application like Fences is not able to trigger a BSOD, only a bug in a kernel level part of Windows could do that.

I imagine something Fences is doing is exposing a problem elsewhere rather than being the root cause.
