Start 11 - New programs highlighted in Windows 7 style menu

New programs highlighted in Windows 7 style menu

In Start 10 and earlier, there used to be an option to disable highlighting of new programs on the start menu, specifically when using the Windows 7 style menu. I can't for the life of me find such an option in Start 11. Is it even present anymore and can it please be reintroduced if not?

Same here, to be honest the whole layout feels like a mess and not very intuitive.  I've spent ages looking for options that very simple to find in previous versions.  Honestly feels like a step backwards.

you guys aren't going to help these people out or provide some fixes for your program? That's cool, I'll use something else then. StartAllBack is a great alternative for a few bucks. Fixes other windows 11 problems too.

The highlight option for the Win7/Modern style can be controlled by the registry key here :

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\SOFTWARE\Stardock\Start8\Start8.ini\Start8

Create a key of type REG_SZ and give it the name Highlight and assign it a value of 0.  Then sign out and in again and the highlighting is disabled.  If you had previously had Start10 installed this setting would have carried over to Start11.

I think this thread got missed as this question was answered elsewhere on the forums before but not in this thread.  Sorry about that.
