Feature Request : Modern hover effect

Windows 10's new Start Menu vs old Start Menu: What's changed?

In Fluent Design System, this effect is called Reveal

However, in the latest version of Windows 11, this description has been deleted. In fact, there is no recovery timetable for the time being

I seem to be missing something.

The effect on those Win11 menus appears to be a rounded rectangle just like the one in Start11.  The only difference being the Start11 one is more solid than the Win11 menus one?

If we assume the reveal effect is dead (as per Microsoft), what effect were you looking for in particular?
